THE 02:14 SIGNAL
Last night at 02:14, the radio telescope picked up an extremely powerful radio burst. The director, Prof. Hallberg, is certain: an artificial signal from Orion. He will announce it to the whole world at 9 am.
On your keyboard, a sticky note from Inès Valdés, the night astronomer, who left in the middle of the night and hasn't answered since: “Don't let them announce this. It's all in the data. Start with the spectrogram.”
